One of Geiger’s most successful collaborations was with legendary designer Ward Bennett. For more than three decades, Ward Bennett was the creative genius behind Geiger Brickel’s contemporary seating, table and storage products. Once again, Geiger is working with Bennett’s protégé, Tim deFiebre, to produce our new Ward Bennett Business Classics. Combining the most elegant and detailed wood, leather and metal components, Geiger’s Ward Bennett Business Classics will introduce a new generation to some of the industry’s most original and contemporary seating, table and casegoods. From the University, Scissor and Envelope chairs to the H-Frame Storage Unit and infamous I-Beam, Geiger is honored to continue Ward Bennett’s design legacy with this unique collection.
According to the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Ward Bennett is “treasured for having transformed industrial hardware into sublime objects” and for creating a new vocabulary for the design profession. In 1964, Ward Bennett began collaborating with Brickel Associates, creating timeless designs for both furniture and textiles. In 1987, Ward Bennett began working with Geiger International to design seating and tables that have received international acclaim. Among his many honors, Bennett was named to the Interior Design Hall of Fame and received the IBD Lifetime Achievement Award. |
